Community Groups

Community Groups are a great way for our church to be rooted deep with one another as the family of God, practicing the over 40 “one another’s” in the Bible.

Sunday, March 6, marked the full transition to Community Groups from the Adult “Sunday School” format.  While Sunday Schools are led by a teacher with a certain topic, and the class only stays together for a few weeks, Community Groups are led by their own leadership teams, and the people stay together while teachers and topics rotate.  This emphasizes application of the Bible’s teachings in Christian Community rather than emphasizing mere Bible knowledge.

Community Groups are learning communities where the Bible is at the center and building relationships is a key focus.  They provide an environment for you to connect in relationships with others, grow in your faith, exercise your spiritual gifts, and welcome those who are new to the church.  Taking place during our Sunday morning services, each meeting will include about 15 minutes of fellowship, 15 minutes of sharing and prayer, and 40 minutes for interactive Bible teaching.

Community Groups are arranged by life stage, because people with common experiences grow closer more naturally.  While life stage is the general guideline, you should participate in whatever Community Group you connect with the best.  Each group is open to all people whether single, married, new to the church, or a long time member.
